A Mother's Love

UniversalComfortingParent
A mother's love is like a beacon
burning bright with steadfast grace,
a warm and ever-constant comfort
that time and distance can't erase.

She held our hands through early mornings,
wiped our tears and calmed our fears,
her gentle voice a thread of silver
running through our growing years.

She gave us roots to keep us grounded
and wings to help us learn to fly.
She filled our home with warmth and laughter
and never once asked us why.

Now though her voice has fallen silent
and her chair sits empty still,
the love she planted deep within us
blossoms on, and always will.

For a mother never truly leaves;
she lives in every kindness shown,
in every gentle word we offer,
in the seeds of love she'd sown.

So we carry her within us,
not with grief but gratitude,
for the gift of her devotion
and a lifetime's fortitude.
