A Non-Religious Committal

We have come to the point where we must entrust the body of the one we love back to the elements from which all life is formed.

This is a moment of great tenderness. Here, at the threshold between presence and memory, we acknowledge the simple, profound truth that every life has its season, and every season must, in time, give way to the next.

We commit this body to its final resting place: earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Not with despair, but with the quiet dignity that this life deserves.

What was mortal we return to the earth. What was cherished we hold in our hearts. What was loved does not end here.

May the memory of this good life be a blessing to all who carry it. And may we, in our own time and in our own way, find peace.
