A Thanksgiving for Memories

Non-denominationalUpliftingParentPartner / SpouseChildGrandparentFriend
Let us give thanks for the gift of memory.

For the moments that made us laugh until we cried.
For the quiet conversations that meant more than any grand gesture.
For the traditions we built and the stories we told.
For the meals shared, the journeys taken, the ordinary days that we now see were anything but ordinary.

Let us give thanks for the person at the centre of those memories, whose presence made our lives richer, warmer, and more complete.

We are grateful for every year, every month, every day we were given.
We are grateful for the love that shaped us and the lessons that guided us.
We are grateful that, of all the people in the world, our paths crossed with theirs.

Memory is a bridge between what was and what will be. As long as we remember, the ones we love are never truly gone. They live on in us, in the stories we tell, and in the love we pass on to others.

For all of this, and for so much more, we give thanks.
