He Will Wipe Every Tear (Revelation 21:4)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.

Gracious God,
we hold fast to this promise.
In the midst of our sorrow,
we trust in your word
that a day is coming when grief will be no more.
Comfort us now with this blessed hope.
Dry our tears with your tender mercy,
and grant us the peace that passes all understanding,
until that day when we are gathered
into your eternal kingdom of light.
