Nothing Can Separate Us (Romans 8:38-39)

We are persuaded that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,
nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us
from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Loving God,
in this assurance we place our trust.
Hold us firm in the knowledge
that your love reaches beyond the grave,
that nothing in all creation can sever the bond
between you and those you have called.
Grant us faith to believe,
hope to sustain us,
and love that will never end.
Amen.
