Prayer of Committal

We commit the body of our brother/sister to the ground;
earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust;
in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who will transform our frail bodies
that they may be conformed to his glorious body,
who died, was buried, and rose again for us.

To him be glory for ever and ever.
Amen.

The Lord bless them and keep them,
the Lord make his face to shine upon them
and be gracious unto them,
the Lord lift up his countenance upon them,
and give them peace, both now and evermore.
Amen.
